Qualifications

• Three years purchasing experience
• One to two years of college

Responsibilities

• Issue and maintain purchase orders for production needs
• Monitor and maintain Kanban inventory levels
• Analyze and decrease inventory levels to improve inventory turns
• Identify vendors to support Cleveland Gear growth initiatives
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain on-time delivery dates and ensure vendor quality
• Work closely with planning and production to achieve on-time delivery goals
• Assure all necessary documents contain the correct information required
• Follow ISO 9000 procedures and flow down to vendors as needed
• Strive to achieve the best pricing and delivery without compromising quality

I. JOB FUNCTION SUMMARY

A. Purchase products or services that meet Cleveland Gear & Hellan Strainer Co requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner in support of operations.

II. JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• A. Issue and maintains Purchase Orders in support of the production requirements
• B. Monitor and maintain inventory levels where Kanban is used
• C. Analyze and decrease inventory levels as needed to improve inventory turns
• D. Identify vendors to support Cleveland Gear growth initiatives
• E. Identify and implement cost saving opportunities
• F. Maintain on-time delivery dates and ensure quality requirements are met by the vendor
• G. Work closely with planning and production to achieve on-time delivery goals

III. Preferred Qualifications
