Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Buyer/Procurement Specialist to support operational effectiveness by managing material requirements, inventory, and vendor relations.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and maintain material inventory levels.
2. Fulfill material requirements from production, initiate purchase or repair orders as needed.
3. Review parts catalogues for engine types to confirm part number accuracy.
4. Maintain vendor lists and monitor performance and delivery commitments.
5. Use systems to prioritize purchase and repair processes.
6. Identify and implement process improvements.
7. Ensure proper documentation and certifications for purchased or repaired materials.
8. Provide status updates on material procurement.
9. Collaborate with finance for inventory valuation and counts.
10. Perform other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience in aviation material management, preferably engine material.
• Knowledge of FAA and company policies.
• Strong work ethic, motivation, leadership qualities.
• Knowledge of inventory planning, OEM parts catalogues, repair systems.
• Experience with SAP, Quantum preferred.
• Effective communication and data analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, flexible schedules.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• A&P License desired; shop or field service experience with specific engines advantageous.
