Job summary

Wheeler Staffing Partners in Dallas, TX is seeking a Buyer/Planner for a full-time hybrid role. You will manage procurement lifecycle, forecast demand, create POs, track orders, and collaborate with Sales to ensure on-time delivery.

The position requires 3–5 years in purchasing, ERP/MRP experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work across multiple locations and suppliers. Initial onsite training with hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, demand planning, materials planning, inventory management, or a related function.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct purchasing experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems.
• Strong understanding of purchasing, procurement, inventory management, demand planning, forecasting, and supplier performance.
• Experience managing multiple suppliers, purchase orders, product categories, and competing priorities.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and XLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle for assigned products and categories.
• Review demand requirements and forecasts to determine purchasing needs.
• Create requisitions and purchase orders and place orders with suppliers.
• Monitor open purchase orders and expedite orders to meet requirements.
• Track supplier deliveries and address potential delays or shortages.
• Coordinate product returns and resolve purchasing discrepancies.
