Job summary

BETA Technologies is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join the New Product Introduction and Contracting team in Vermont. You will ensure materials and services are available for new product development and production, work with suppliers, place and manage purchase orders, track material availability, and keep stakeholders informed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years direct experience in planning or project management, preferably in manufacturing or with strong traceability requirements.
• Experience managing Supplier relationships and inventory management with procurement knowledge.
• Extremely strong communication and presentation skills; leadership experience.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, Plex, or Oracle.
• Willingness to travel +/- 20%.

• Prepare purchase orders or bid requests; enter data for purchase orders.
• Track, maintain, and adjust purchase orders based on timing, cost, or other updates.

• Track material shortages for work-orders and sub-assemblies; facilitate alternatives.
• Develop solutions to improve delivery lead-times; manage data in ERP systems.

We are seeking a Buyer/Planner to join our New Product Introduction and Contracting team. In this role, you will help ensure materials and services are available to support new product development and production. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to place and manage purchase orders, track material availability, resolve supply issues, and keep stakeholders informed.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

• Drive milestones to ensure projected timelines are held and drive course correction actions
• Preparing purchase orders or bid requests; entering data for purchase orders
• Tracking, maintaining, and updating purchase orders based on changes to timing, cost, financials, or other updates
• Coordinate and prioritize work in an extremely dynamic environment
• Understand and execute orders against material requirements planning (MRP) signals
• Track material shortages for work-orders, kits, and sub-assemblies based on bill-of-material or drawings, facilitate alternate solutions where material supply doesn’t support
• Develop solutions and strategies for improving delivery lead-times on parts and materials
• Use and maintain the ERP system to provide clarity and source of truth to the organization through clear demand signals and organized data management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Comfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment, and passion to perform under pressure
• 5+ years direct experience in planning or project management, preferred experience in manufacturing or in an environment with a similarly intense level of quality and traceability requirements
• Experience managing Supplier relationships, inventory management, and understanding of basic principles of procurement practices
• Extremely strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong background in problem-solving and leadership
• Demonstrated understanding of an ERP system. Experience with Epicor, SAP, Plex, or Oracle will prepare for success.
• Exposure to rapid manufacturing growth and preferably startup experience
• +/- 20% travel

Above and Beyond Qualifications:

• Plex ERP Experience
• Experience working with avionics, flight control components, printed circuit assemblies or similar categories of purchased parts
• PMP Certification

Compensation

$75,000 — $85,000 USD
