A leading manufacturer is seeking a Buyer / Planner responsible for purchasing both direct and indirect materials. This role involves developing and evaluating supplier relationships, analyzing industry trends, and assessing our position against key competitors. The successful candidate will maintain purchase orders for supplies, materials, and office equipment. Responsibilities of the Buyer / Planner include:

1. Developing, evaluating, and managing supplier relationships.
2. Placing purchase orders for production materials.
3. Managing and resolving issues related to PO to invoice discrepancies, returns, and quality concerns.
4. Coordinating material flows during product / BOM changes, obsolescence, and onboarding of new suppliers.
5. Providing backup support for supply chain functions such as shipping, receiving, and material handling.
6. Managing material flows throughout production, including handling BOM changes and obsolescence, as well as integrating new suppliers.
7. Resolving issues related to PO to invoice discrepancies.

Qualifications for the Buyer / Planner include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to influence others and manage conflicts effectively.
