Job summary

Moog is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join our hybrid team in Niagara Falls, NY (and East Aurora, NY). The role focuses on procurement for multiple business areas, supporting assembly, test, and other functions, with a mix of strategic sourcing and day-to-day buying to meet programs’ schedules while controlling cost, quality, and delivery targets.

You will report to the Process Manager and collaborate with shop planning, production, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or similar.
• 2 years procurement/planning experience with strong communication.
• Strong sense of urgency and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodity/categories.
• Negotiate suppliers, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings.
• Manage supplier performance and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with planning, production and engineering on gating and releases.
• Place and expedit[e] purchase orders; monitor status and dates.
• Support master planning with procurement lead-time updates.
• Lead continuous improvement activities in procurement.
