Job summary

Moog Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY is hiring a Buyer/Planner to manage procurement for multiple business areas, aligning with Assembly & Test and other functions. You will lead sourcing strategies, negotiate terms, and monitor supplier performance to meet schedules and cost targets.

The role requires a degree in business or related field (or 2-year equivalent with experience) and strong communication skills. The position offers a hybrid schedule on first shift and travel to Niagara Falls as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or similar.
• Associate’s degree with 2 years procurement/planning experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• This position requires a full physical which includes bloodwork and Pulmonary Function testing.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a procurement specialist within the organization representing supply chain.
• Creating and executing sourcing strategies for assigned commodity/categories.
• Negotiating suppliers, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and risk reduction.
• Managing supplier performance, on-time delivery and quality metrics; escalating and resolving supplier issues.
• Collaborating with shop planning, production, and engineering to support component gating and kit releases.
• Performing data-driven analyses and trend analysis to identify opportunities and forecast needs.
• Placing and expediting purchase orders; monitoring PO status and delivery dates.
• Providing reliable completion and delivery dates to internal stakeholders.
• Supporting master planning with basic forecasting inputs and procurement lead-time updates.
• Participating in cross-functional problem-solving initiatives to remove supply constraints.
• Leading continuous improvement activities for the procurement function or business unit.
• Occasional travel to our Niagara Falls NY site may be required

Space division seeking a Buyer/Planner

Our Space division is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join our dynamic team in East Aurora, NY or Niagara Falls, NY.

This Buyer/Planner will have primary procurement responsibilities for multiple business areas, supporting Assembly & Test and other functions. This role requires a mix of strategic supplier development and day-to-day buying activities to ensure program schedules are met and cost, quality, and delivery targets are achieved. You will report to the Process Manager and enjoy a collaborative working environment with a hybrid schedule on first shift.

To be considered for our Buyer/Planner role

• A Bachelor’s degree (ideally in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or similar)

• An Associate’s degree and 2 years procurement/planning experience

Preferred qualifications

• Any advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus
