Job summary

KYOCERA SENCO, located in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Buyer or Purchasing Agent to join our team. The role focuses on planning and purchasing finished goods from international and domestic suppliers, negotiating on price and terms, and coordinating container deliveries with the shipping and receiving teams.

Strong JD Edwards/MRP experience and excellent communication are required. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree or equivalent purchasing experience, proficient Excel and MS

Responsibilities

• Plan and purchase finished goods from external suppliers, international and domestic.

• Regularly communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates or forecast changes.

Basic Function:

Top Duties and Qualifications A Buyer, or Purchasing Agent, is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies or equipment for a business. Their duties include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching possible item selections and taking inventory of current products.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning and purchasing finished goods from external suppliers, both international and domestic, as assigned.
• Buy inventory from suppliers and negotiate, together with supply chain team and leadership, on price, lead times, packaging, and terms.
• Coordinate the deliveries of containers between shipping company and receiving team.
• Regular communication with suppliers to confirm delivery dates or changes based on adjustments in forecast made by sales.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or previous experience in purchasing, material management, or related field preferred.
• Strong experience with JD Edwards or similar MRP system.

Requirements:

• Must posses a high degree of communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and analytical skills.
• Capable of identifying issues and communicating to all necessary stakeholders in a timely manner
