Job summary

Sterling Engineering, Inc. seeks two experienced Manufacturing Buyers to clear a substantial purchasing backlog for a leading fluid devices manufacturer in Oklahoma City.

You will source materials, expedite orders, manage supplier communications, and collaborate with engineering, production, quality, logistics and warehouse teams to minimize shortages and keep production on track. This 6-month contract is 100% onsite with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of purchasing, procurement, planning or supply chain experience.
• Experience in manufacturing and metals/plastics components preferred.
• Experience using ERP or procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and maintain purchasing/inventory records.
• Follow up with suppliers on pricing, status and delivery dates.
• Expedite delayed materials and help clear the current backlog.
• Source raw materials, components and equipment used in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, logistics and warehouse teams.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery and compliance.
• Maintain supplier information in the ERP system.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and prevent material shortages.
• Resolve delivery, invoice and inventory discrepancies.
