Lafarge & Egge is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support aerospace procurement on-site in Everett, WA. You will source materials, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The role requires collaboration with engineering, quality, and operations to meet stringent delivery and quality goals. Ideal candidates bring aerospace purchasing experience, strong Excel and Power BI skills, and a track record of cost-effective supplier management within manufacturing

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of procurement experience in aerospace or manufacturing.
  • Understanding of AS9100, ISO, FAA requirements.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Power BI for dashboards and data models, and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Source and procure aerospace components, raw materials, and services.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers meeting aerospace standards.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery, and contracts for cost effectiveness.
  • Create and manage purchase orders with traceability.
  • Monitor supplier quality, on-time delivery, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards.
  • Track inventory and plan material availability for production.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.

About the Role:

This is an on-site position in Everett, Washington. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Buyer to support procurement operations within the aerospace industry. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, components, and services that meet stringent aerospace quality, regulatory, and delivery standards. The Buyer will work closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure compliance with industry requirements while maintaining cost efficiency and supply chain reliability.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing
  • Basic understanding of aerospace standards (AS9100, ISO, FAA requirements
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skill
  • Proven proficiency in Power BI to build interactive dashboards and data models
  • Strong understanding of database management principles, data structures, and integrity
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office, with mandatory expertise in advanced Excel functions (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data manipulation)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in the aerospace, defense, or aviation industry
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (ProShop, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Knowledge of technical drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOM)
  • Experience with supplier quality requirements and audits
  • Professional certification (CPSM, CPM)
Responsibilities:
  • Source and procure aerospace components, raw materials, and services in alignment with engineering and production requirements
  • Evaluate and select suppliers that meet aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA regulations)
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contracts to ensure cost-effective purchasing
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability
  • Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, on-time delivery, and compliance
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to meet technical specifications
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company quality standards
  • Track inventory levels and coordinate material availability to support production schedules
  • Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Maintain detailed procurement records for audit and compliance purposes
