Responsibilities

• Obtain quotes by deadlines and ensure quote accuracy.
• Analyze costs and negotiate prices for goods and services.
• Monitor and manage orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Communicate with vendors regarding delivery schedules and issues.
• Expedite supplier orders to support production as needed.
• Utilize ERP system for data entry and PO creation.
• Participate in meetings and assist with returns when necessary.

Job description

Responsibilities/Job Duties:Process purchase orders for stock and job-related material.Review approved suppliers and complete evaluations as required by ISO ProcedureAssists with min/max’s for stock of major components based on the assigned commodity listAllocate and issue major components when BOM is releasedResponsible for obtaining quotes by deadline dates and accuracy of quotes.Analyze costs and negotiate prices for goods and services.Monitor and manage existing orders to ensure on time deliveries.Communicate with vendors regarding delivery schedules, quality issues, and cost concerns.Work with the Production Manager, Managers, and Engineering department to make sure quotes are obtained per the data sheet and BOM.Expedite supplier orders as required to support production.Utilize ERP system for data entry and purchase orders.Knowledge of purchasing procedures per ISO 9001 guidelines.Assist with product returns and/or errors, working with the shipping and receiving department.Participate in meetings as required.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:1-3 years of relevant work experience required.Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, or related field preferred.Experience working in Dynamics ERP system and Microsoft Office.Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients, and suppliers.Negotiation skills to work with suppliers and make better deals for the company.An understanding of purchase order software platforms.Good attention to detail to ensure all purchase orders are accurate.Math skills to make sure all calculations are correct and avoid any unforeseen losses for the company.Proactive, positive, professional, team-minded, and self-motivating.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
