Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders for stock and job-related material.
• Review approved suppliers and complete evaluations per ISO procedures.
• Assist with min/max stock levels for major components.
• Allocate and issue major components when BOM is released.
• Obtain quotes by deadlines and ensure accuracy.
• Analyze costs and negotiate prices for goods and services.
• Monitor orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Communicate with vendors on delivery, quality, and cost issues.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Managers to ensure quotes per data sheet and BOM.
• Expedite supplier orders as needed to support production.
• Use ERP for data entry and purchase orders.
• Follow ISO 9001 purchasing procedures.

Long Term Temporary (6 months+, could go longer) Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

• Process purchase orders for stock and job-related material.
• Review approved suppliers and completes evaluations as required by ISO Procedure
• Assists with min/max’s for stock of major components based on the assigned commodity list
• Allocate and issue major components when BOM is released
• Responsible for obtaining quotes by deadline dates and accuracy of quotes.
• Analyze costs and negotiate prices for goods and services.
• Monitor and manage existing orders to ensure on time deliveries.
• Communicate with vendors regarding delivery schedules, quality issues, and cost concerns.
• Work with the Production Manager, Managers, and Engineering department to make sure quotes are obtained per the data sheet and BOM.
• Expedite supplier orders as required to support production.
• Utilize ERP system for data entry and purchase orders.
• Knowledge of purchasing procedures per ISO 9001 guidelines.
• Assist with product returns and/or errors, working with the shipping and receiving department.
• Participate in meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience required.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
• Experience working in an ERP system and Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients, and suppliers.
• Negotiation skills to work with suppliers and make better deals for the company.
• An understanding of purchase order software platforms.
• Good attention to detail to ensure all purchase orders are accurate.
• Math skills to make sure all calculations are correct and avoid any unforeseen losses for the company.
