Job summary

Johnson Service Group in California is seeking a Strategic Procurement Specialist to source equipment, goods, and services across multiple spend categories, with emphasis on PCB fabrications and electronic components and assemblies.

The role focuses on meeting cost, quality, delivery, and production requirements, performing RFQs, evaluating pricing, negotiating suppliers, and managing POs/contracts while coordinating with Accounting, Warehouse, and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience in procurement of PCB fabrications, electronic components, and electronic assemblies.
• Understanding of contract manufacturing as it relates to supplier interactions during procurement and production phases.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services while meeting cost, quality, delivery, and production requirements.
• Perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories; search for better deals and suppliers.
• Negotiate and select qualified vendors; create and manage purchase orders/contracts; track changes, expediting, and delivery.
• Verify material quality, quantity, cost, and supplier performance; coordinate with Accounting, Warehouse, and Quality.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, productivity, and delivery.
• Procure metal fabrications, machined parts, PCBs, electronic components, and electronic assemblies.
• Interpret drawings and communicate technical requirements with suppliers.
• Support supplier qualification and compliance with purchasing policies.

Responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals, and find more profitable suppliers.Pay range: $35.00 to $42.00 hourlySource and procure materials, equipment, and services while meeting cost, quality, delivery, and production requirements.Research suppliers, obtain RFQs, evaluate pricing and capabilities, and negotiate/select qualified vendors.Create and manage purchase orders/contracts, including changes, expediting, and delivery follow-up.Verify material quality, quantity, cost, and supplier performance; coordinate with Accounting, Warehouse, and Quality.Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, productivity, and delivery.Procure metal fabrications, machined parts, PCBs, electronic components, and electronic assemblies.Interpret mechanical, PCB fabrication, and assembly drawings and communicate technical requirements with suppliers.Support supplier qualification, development, problem-solving, and compliance with company purchasing policies.Key QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in related field is preferred.
