Job summary

Regal Rexnord is expanding its TPS operations near Arlington, TX, and seeks a Buyer to support our new procurement team. The role reports to the Arlington Supply Chain Manager and focuses on securing the right materials at the right time and cost to meet production needs.

Key duties include demand planning via SAP/MRP, vendor management, and ensuring data integrity for POs and work orders while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of procurement experience.
  • ERP and MRP experience (SAP is a plus).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Effective English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Drive demand planning through SAP and MRP processes.
  • Monitor vendor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as primary contact for vendors; resolve delivery/quality/pricing issues.
  • Place purchasing orders and follow up to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain SAP data integrity for work orders and POs.
  • Manage inventory levels (stock, buyin, VMI, MRO).
  • Develop strategies to increase inventory turnover.
  • Review production plans to ensure material availability.
  • Identify and resolve past due backlog issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and trade procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Thomson Power Systems (TPS)

(a Regal Rexnord company) a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for the power generation industry with over 50 years of proven excellence. As we expand into a new facility near Arlington, TX, we're seeking a Buyer to help support our new procurement team.

Reporting directly to the Arlington Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business has the right quantity of goods and materials at the right time and at the right cost to meet the production and operational needs. This role involves strategic planning, purchasing, inventory control and supplier relationship management to ensure uninterrupted flow of materials and goods required for production. Key Responsibilities
  • Drive demand planning through SAP and stablished MRP process.
  • Monitor and analyze vendor performance data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Act as primary point of contact for vendors, resolving escalations related to delivery, quality, and pricing discrepancies.
  • Place purchasing orders and follow up with suppliers to meet production schedule.
  • Maintain the integrity of work order and purchase order data in SAP.
  • Manage inventory levels (stock, buyin, VMI, MRO) for reorder.
  • Develop strategies to increase inventory turnover.
  • Review daily and weekly production plans to ensure material availability.
  • Monitor, identify, and resolve past due backlog issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and trade compliance procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and activities as required.
Required Skills And Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement with demonstrated results.
  • Demonstrated experience in ERP and MRP (transactional and planning module).
  • Experience in SAP will be considered as an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
