Job summary

nVenia, part of the Duravant family, is seeking a Buyer to source material, parts, and MRO for Production and Aftermarket. You will quote, place orders, manage supplier returns, confirm orders, expedite deliveries, and communicate schedule changes to operations and sales.

Qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing. This office-based role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and regular supplier follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Process orders including sending PO’s and confirmations.
• Follow up with suppliers.
• Confirm pricing.
• Expedite orders.
• Reconciling invoicing issues.
• Perform timely resolution of past due purchase orders to meet departmental goals.
• Assist with monitoring, tracking, and providing feedback on supplier’s performance, price, delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
• Quickly and efficiently process supplier quality returns.
• Ensure prompt communication of schedule changes throughout Operations, Sales and Lifecycle Services.
• Work with cross functional teams including shipping, stockroom, accounting, production, and planning.
• Communicate Bill of Material discrepancies to Engineering.
• Report inventory discrepancies to Warehouse Manager.
• Projects and other responsibilities as directed by manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The position is an office-based position with visits to the manufacturing area. In the manufacturing area, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and may occasionally be exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times loud.
