The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems, manages purchase orders and supplier relationships, and maintains inventory levels. Strong Excel skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential.

Qualifications

• Purchasing or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience working with an MRP/ERP system.
• Experience managing purchase orders, suppliers, inventory, and material requirements.
• Understanding of how purchased components and materials flow through a manufacturing operation.
• Comfortable working with Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Purchase components, materials, supplies, and MRO items needed to support production.
• Create, manage, and adjust purchase orders based on material requirements.
• Use MRP information to monitor demand and purchasing needs.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding availability, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Help identify and resolve material shortages that could impact production.
• Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control efforts.
• Maintain purchasing and planning information within the ERP/MRP system.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and other supplier terms.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Track supplier performance and help address delivery or quality concerns.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and purchasing improvements.
• Work closely with production, planning, inventory, quality, and other internal teams.
