Job summary

LMH Health is seeking a Buyer/Purchasing Agent to manage direct purchasing for the facility, interfacing with hospital staff and vendors. Responsibilities include processing supply orders, managing returns, and maintaining requisition templates.

Responsibilities

• Review Requisitioned Items (Purchasing) Report for potential ordering errors.
• Process and submit orders to vendors daily.
• Ensure confirmations are received from vendors when orders are placed.
• Use the eRequistioning system to order supplies online for departments.
• Coordinate purchase procedures to ensure standard PO and invoice processing.
• Process repairs and returns to vendors.
• Investigate issues with POs and help departments resolve them.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic accounting/inventory control concepts.
• Maintain attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
• Attend to additional duties and ensure reliable attendance.

Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm

The Buyer/Purchasing Agent is accountable for the direct purchasing function for the facility. This position interfaces directly with hospital staff at all levels and interfaces directly with sales representatives. Other duties include returns to vendors, process repairs, trace items on order on a weekly basis, process supply orders, enter data received from vendor relating to purchase orders, handles external pagers for hospital staff, special bed rental invoices, and maintains departmental requisition templates.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review Requisitioned Items (Purchasing) Report for possible ordering errors.


• Processes and submits orders to vendors on daily basis.


• Responsible for ensuring confirmations are received from vendors when the orders are placed.


• Responsible for the eRequistioning system in PMM; this system allows departments to order supplies online for their department.


• Coordinates purchase procedure for goods and services, so that standard practices are followed for preparing purchase orders and processing of invoices for payment.


• Processes repairs and returns to vendors.


• Investigates issues that arise with PO’s and assists departments in getting satisfactory resolution.


• Demonstrates excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.) and general accounting and inventory control principals.


• Displays effective time management, organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.


• Maintains attention to detail, accuracy with numbers and efficiency in completing multiple tasks.


• Performs other duties as assigned.


• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
