Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Buyer in Orchard Park, NY to strategically negotiate and maintain inventory of direct and indirect/MRO products while meeting performance goals. The role is an in-office position with potential to transition to hybrid after meeting expectations.

You will develop and manage supplier partnerships, analyze spending, and ensure timely deliveries, with compensation up to $70K per year based on experience. This is a direct placement opportunity with a manufacturing client.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of Buyer experience in direct and indirect spending in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of ERP/MRP experience.
• 3+ years of contract management and supplier negotiations.
• 3+ years of solving complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain inventory levels and turnover.
• Track spend, deflation, and synergy commitments while meeting delivery timeframes.
• Forecast buying trends and supplier Product markets with target demographics.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
• Issue Purchase Orders and Expedite deliveries as needed.
• Assess financial risks of purchases.
• Attend trade shows and product exhibitions to stay current.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge of market dynamics and commodity outlook.
