Methode Electronics Inc. is seeking a proactive Buyer in Rolling Meadows, IL to source components and manage supplier relationships.

The role targets cost, quality, and on‑time delivery, supporting product development and program launches through fact-based negotiation. Responsibilities include commodity sourcing, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement within procurement, ensuring optimal material availability and favorable pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 3–7 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment; electronics background desirable.
• Experience applying analytical skills to negotiate successfully with suppliers.
• Demonstrate ability to take the initiative in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
• Experience sourcing products in Asia is a plus.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office products as well as ERP systems.
