RITALKA, Inc. is a family-owned engineering and manufacturing business serving rural communities.

We are looking for a Buyer to build and maintain relationships with component vendors and coordinate purchasing and delivery schedules with internal teams. The role offers a flexible schedule with a wage range of $19 to $29 per hour, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth in Redwood Falls, Minnesota.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Purchasing Management or related degree recommended
• 2+ years' procurement experience desired

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain supplier relationships via phone, fax, and email
• Coordinate purchasing and delivery schedules with departments
• Source and buy product to fill requirements
• Qualify and develop new suppliers
• Grow existing supplier base through long-term relationships
• Verify part numbers, delivery dates and best price with vendors
• Negotiate and buy parts promptly
• Conduct product research as needed
• Communicate and solve issues
• Manage orders to meet project/forecast/Theory of Constraint and report status

As a Buyer, your primary responsibility is to build and maintain relationships via phone, fax, and e-mail with component vendors and suppliers. You will coordinate purchasing and delivery schedules of vendor supplied components with appropriate departments and personnel. You will also source and buy product to fill requirements.

What does a Buyer do at RITALKA?

• Qualify and develop new suppliers
• Manage, maintain, and grow existing supplier base by developing long-term, professional relationships with key vendors
• Qualify vendor's product offerings to verify exact part numbers, accurate delivery date, and best price
• Negotiate and buy parts in a timely and expeditious manner
• Product research as required
• Communication and problem solving
• Manage parts orders to meet project / forecast / Theory of Constraint requirements and communicate status to supply chain via established reporting methods

What are we looking for in a quality candidate?

• Accurate and professional verbal and written communications
• Keeps business records, utilizing computers, accurate filing systems, customer and personal service
• Proficient use of computers, software, i.e. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Complete vendor score cards
• S & OP meetings
• Follow company and department standard procedures

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Purchasing Management or other applicable degree
• 2+ years' experience is desired

OR Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.
