Job summary

RITALKA, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, coordinate purchasing and delivery schedules, and source products to meet project requirements.

This role focuses on qualifying new suppliers and expanding the existing supplier base while negotiating favorable terms. Responsibilities include monitoring part numbers, delivery dates, and prices; communicating status to supply chain; and performing product research as needed.

Qualifications

• Accurate and professional verbal and written communications.
• Proficient use of computers and office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• 2+ years purchasing experience desired.
• High School Diploma or GED; Purchasing-related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships via phone, fax, and email with component vendors and suppliers.
• Coordinate purchasing and delivery schedules of vendor supplied components with appropriate departments and personnel.
• Source and buy products to fill requirements.
• Qualify and develop new suppliers; manage and grow existing supplier base.
• Negotiate and buy parts in a timely and cost-effective manner; perform product research as needed.
• Communicate and solve problems; report status to supply chain using established methods.

As a Buyer

Your primary responsibility is to build and maintain relationships via phone, fax, and e-mail with component vendors and suppliers. You will coordinate purchasing and delivery schedules of vendor supplied components with appropriate departments and personnel. You will also source and buy product to fill requirements.

What does a Buyer do at RITALKA?

• Qualify and develop new suppliers
• Manage, maintain, and grow existing supplier base by developing long-term, professional relationships with key vendors
• Qualify vendor's product offerings to verify exact part numbers, accurate delivery date, and best price
• Negotiate and buy parts in a timely and expeditious manner
• Product research as required
• Communication and problem solving
• Manage parts orders to meet project / forecast / Theory Of Constraint requirements and communicate status to supply chain via established reporting methods

What are we looking for in a quality candidate?

• Accurate and professional verbal and written communications
• Keeps business records, utilizing computers, accurate filing systems, customer and personal service
• Proficient use of computers, software, ie. Microsoft, office (word, excel and outlook)
• Complete vendor score cards
• S & OP meetings
• Follow company and department standard procedures

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Purchasing Management or other applicable degree
• 2+ Years Experience is desired

OR Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.
