Job summary

OSI Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Buyer to support procurement and sourcing activities for a global automotive company. You will manage purchasing, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations for automotive components and prototype parts in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires SAP Ariba proficiency, CAD interpretation, and the ability to coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams onsite in Raymond, OH (onsite 4 days/week; first 6 months 5 days onsite).

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in purchasing, sourcing or contract management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in SAP Ariba.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end purchasing and sourcing activities for automotive components and prototype parts.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and cost targets.
• Review CAD drawings to support sourcing decisions and supplier discussions.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.
• Manage supplier relationships with performance monitoring and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to support product development.
• Utilize SAP for procurement processes, purchase orders, and supplier management.
• Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support prototype builds and production readiness through effective supplier coordination.

Duration:

12+ months with possible extension

Hourly Rate:

35-43/hr DOE
