Job summary

Turtle is seeking a Buyer for full-time work in Ponce, PR, to source spot buy purchases and replenish inventory at a client site. The role focuses on on-site procurement and operational support in a production crib.

The ideal candidate has strong sourcing experience, knowledge of purchasing practices, and the ability to analyze bids, with a detail-oriented, flexible mindset to adapt to urgent needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of materials, products, and the site commodity market.
• Skill in preparing and analyzing complex technical specifications and bids.
• Sourcing experience.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to be flexible.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing spot buy purchases and replenishing inventory items in a production supply crib located on the site of our client in Ponce, PR.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate customer needs
• Identify and select vendor to procure requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality and delivery date and place orders.
• Identify cost savings initiatives.
• Resolve purchasing problems with vendors.
