Job summary

TVH Group in Olathe, KS seeks a Buyer to manage supplier relations, packaging, and procurement for an assigned commodity. You will learn and apply supply chain concepts and negotiation skills to identify cost savings and deliver fiscal benefits to TVH.

Responsibilities include supplier registration, contract management, purchase orders, and maintaining orders with shipping/receiving. You will support quality and update technical data as needed.

• Technical proficiency; Parts Data, Oracle, Excel etc.
• Knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes and practices
• In depth technical knowledge of the assigned product range
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of compliance regulations
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and requirements
• Think and act global

Purchase products for an assigned commodity group with guidance from senior team members and management. Learn and apply understanding of supply chain concepts and negotiation skills to identify cost savings and ensure fiscal benefit to TVH.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESS

• Supplier management: registration, evaluating opportunities, create & manage contracts, analyze and expand supplier portfolio and problem solving
• Purchase/PRD and procurement: search sellable items, compare sources, create product relations, BOMs negotiate, RFQ, create purchase requisitions and sample orders, maintain orders, reschedule, shipping and receiving
• Provide product and category insights to category manager
• Quality management: analyzing results of the samples and providing technical support (e.g. to sales)
• Maintain and update technical information
• May also include: role of global supplier/product responsible
