Job summary

Reliable Safety and Flow Corporation in North Kingstown, RI seeks a Buyer to handle purchasing activities for timely and cost-effective materials for the manufacturing facility.

You will research suppliers, prepare purchase orders, and maintain purchasing records while coordinating with Accounts Payable on invoice discrepancies and supporting production schedules.

Qualifications

• AS Degree in Business or related field is required.
• MRP experience is a plus; knowledge of Infor Manufacturing systems is a plus.
• Minimum two years of clerical purchasing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
• Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.

• Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.
• Work with Accounts Payable Department on resolving invoice discrepancies.

• Perform other related duties as directed by Purchasing and Procurement Manager.

Description

Responsible for purchasing activities required to procure materials and supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner to support the manufacturing facility.

What You Will Do

• Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
• Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
