Job summary

ASC Engineered Solutions, LLC in North Kingstown, RI, is seeking a Buyer to manage timely and cost-effective procurement for the manufacturing facility. This onsite role reports to the Purchasing Manager and involves supplier research, PO processing, and ensuring supplier performance to support production schedules.

Requires an AS degree in Business or related field, 2+ years of purchasing experience, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• AS Degree in Business or related field is required.
• MRP experience is a plus; knowledge of Infor Manufacturing is a plus.
• At least two years of clerical purchasing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
• Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders.
• Maintaining records of all purchasing-related transactions.
• Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries to support production schedules.
• Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.
• Work with Accounts Payable on resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Monitor market trends and conditions for products used by ASC.
• Perform other related duties as directed by Purchasing and Procurement Manager.

Responsible for purchasing activities required to procure materials and supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner to support the manufacturing facility.

What You Will Do

• Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
• Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders.
• Maintaining records of all purchasing-related transactions.
