Job Title: Buyer II

Location: Manassas, VA 20109

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 40 hours/week | 100% Onsite

Job Overview:

The Buyer II supports the execution of the Global Supply Management (GSM) strategy by procuring products and services in alignment with the organization’s goals. The role involves supplier negotiations, contract management, supply chain optimization, and cross-functional collaboration across departments such as quality, planning, and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and executing Global Supply Management strategies.
• Support sourcing decisions in line with organizational procurement goals.
• Update contribution metrics and link them with cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead or support contract administration including negotiations and supplier agreements (NDAs, COIs, Pricing, etc.).
• Maintain supplier relationships and conduct supplier audits.
• Manage and reduce inventory, including obsolete or slow-moving stock (where applicable).
• Facilitate cross-site GSM communication, including quality and material support.
• Resolve invoicing issues in coordination with the RTP team.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support cost-saving and process improvement efforts.
• Ensure compliance with IP, environmental, ethical, and internal audit standards.
• Promote and enforce the Global Buying Policy.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of supply chain and procurement principles.
• Skilled in contract writing and administration.
• Experienced in price/cost analysis and supplier negotiation.
