Job summary

GT’s Living Foods, LLC in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Buyer to manage procurement from intent to delivery, ensuring ethical practices and compliant purchasing. You will build supplier relationships and drive cost, quality, and service improvements.

The role requires five-plus years in purchasing and advanced Excel, with familiarity in MRP and Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP. A SCM-related bachelor’s is preferred; standard business hours and on-site work model in LA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, buying and/or procurement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills.
• Familiar with MRP and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain purchasing systems, procedures, and work instructions.
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and delivery to assess material availability.
• Generate market analysis reports and identify purchasing priorities.
• Evaluate supplier quotations; negotiate pricing, quality, delivery, and terms.
• Implement vendor evaluation processes to support sourcing decisions.
• Design and monitor procurement reporting systems to meet requirements.
• Source and maintain relationships with high-quality suppliers at competitive pricing.
• Ensure procurement activities adhere to ethics, compliance, and conduct.
• Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, bids, and vendor agreements.
• Verify documents for legal compliance, pricing accuracy, and policy adherence.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of in purchasing, buying and/or procurement; CPG and/or packaging/indirect is preferred.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced in Microsoft Excel, Experienced with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and familiarity to ERP/Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Job Description:

At GT’s Living Foods, our Buyers play a critical role in holding suppliers accountable to the accepted purchasing methods, policies, and procedures of the Company. The Buyer is responsible for supporting the procurement function of a commodity from intent to purchase through delivery of commodity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain purchasing systems, procedures, and work instructions.
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and delivery conditions to assess current and future material availability.
• Generate market analysis reports and synthesize data to identify purchasing priorities and opportunities.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, quality, delivery, and service terms.
• Implement vendor evaluation processes to support strategic sourcing decisions.
• Design, implement, and monitor procurement reporting systems to meet organizational requirements.
• Source, recruit, and maintain relationships with suppliers that provide high-quality products and services at competitive pricing.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to the highest standards of ethics, compliance, and professional conduct.
• Prepare, issue, and review purchase orders, contracts, bids, change notices, vendor agreements, and order claims.
• Verify purchasing documents for legal compliance, pricing accuracy, and adherence to company specifications and policies.
• Manage supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost, quality, and service.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement strategies align with operational and business objectives.
