Job summary

Uline, a family-owned distributor, is seeking a Branch Buyer to staff its new Connecticut facility. You’ll manage inventory, plan transfers from distribution centers, place purchase orders, and build vendor relationships to keep products available and orders on track.

Based in Pleasant Prairie, WI, this on-site role collaborates with Product Managers, mentors Associate Buyers, and contributes to meeting purchasing goals as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years in supply chain, purchasing, demand forecasting or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with demand and fulfillment software such as Blue Yonder (JDA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels and purchasing for Uline’s new 1.2 million-square-foot Connecticut facility, ensuring products are available to meet customer demand.
• Plan and place transfer orders from Uline distribution centers and purchase orders with vendors to maintain optimal inventory and service levels.
• Build strong partnerships with vendors and distribution management to ensure product availability and resolve issues.
• Partner with Product Managers to address vendor issues, implement product changes and evaluate potential product additions.
• Mentor and develop Associate Buyers while helping the team achieve purchasing goals.
