Job summary

CPS Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Buyer to support procurement of ingredients, packaging, and production materials. You will partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

The role requires 2+ years in purchasing or procurement in manufacturing, with Excel and ERP proficiency. This is a hybrid position with a 70k-80k base, plus a 10% bonus potential and full benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing; CPG or food industry experience preferred.
• Experience sourcing ingredients, packaging, or production materials is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Purchase ingredients, packaging, and production materials for multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely supplier confirmations and deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels, demand, lead times, and order quantities to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory.
• Coordinate inbound shipments, resolve supply issues, and maintain accurate delivery schedules.
• Build strong supplier relationships while supporting quality, pricing, and on-time delivery.
• Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and receipts, partnering with accounting to resolve discrepancies.
• Identify excess or obsolete inventory and assist with inventory reduction efforts.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement and inventory processes.

Compensation: $70-80k + 10% bonus potential + full benefits. Hybrid schedule – 3 days work from home.
