Job summary

Leapros, Inc. is seeking a Buyer / Planner to balance purchasing, production planning, and supplier coordination in a precision CNC machining environment.

You will work with operations, engineering, quality, and suppliers to keep materials flowing and schedules on track. You will source materials and tooling, schedule work orders, monitor inventory, and manage supplier performance to ensure timely customer deliveries.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing and/or production planning experience in CNC machining, aerospace, or precision manufacturing.
• Knowledge of CNC machining processes, raw materials, tooling, and outside processing.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and the ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong negotiation, organization, communication, and Excel skills.
• Aerospace quality systems, AS9100/AS9102, and multi-axis machining experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing & Procurement: Source raw materials, CNC tooling, and outside processing services while negotiating pricing, lead times, and supplier terms.
• Production Planning: Schedule work orders across CNC mills, lathes, and 5-axis machining centers to optimize capacity and meet delivery deadlines.
• Inventory & Scheduling: Monitor material availability, work-in-progress, and production bottlenecks to prevent delays.
• Supplier Management: Build strong vendor relationships, track performance, and ensure materials meet quality and certification requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, engineering, quality, and estimating to support production launches, scheduling, and cost accuracy.
