Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply management.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and MRP software for procurement and inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, PO management, and supplier negotiation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full purchasing cycle from requisition review to PO issuance.
  • Collaborate with global suppliers to source materials and services meeting quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Use ERP and MRP systems to track inventory, forecast demand, and schedule procurement.
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives by analyzing spend data.
  • Maintain records of POs, contracts, and bar code inventory data.
  • Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and finance to align procurement with needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve delays or quality issues.

Total Site Solutions, Georgetown, Tx. , is in search of a professional procurement buyer. The Buyer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services necessary for the organization's operations. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, from identifying supplier options to negotiating contracts and finalizing purchase orders. The Buyer works closely with supply chain, production, and finance teams to optimize cost reduction strategies while maintaining quality and delivery standards. By leveraging global sourcing and ERP systems, the Buyer ensures that inventory levels are maintained in alignment with demand forecasts and production schedules. Ultimately, this role contributes to the organization's profitability and operational excellence by securing the best value in procurement activities. This is an on-site position at our Georgetown location in Texas.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply management roles.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and MRP software for procurement and inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, purchase order management, and supplier negotiation.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost reduction and supplier relationship management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Supply Chain or Purchasing such as CPSM or CPP.
  • Experience with global sourcing and managing international suppliers.
  • Familiarity with bar code inventory systems and automated procurement tools.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and spend management software.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full purchasing cycle including requisition review, supplier selection, negotiation, and purchase order issuance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers globally to source materials and services that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Utilize ERP and MRP systems to track inventory levels, forecast demand, and schedule timely procurement activities.
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives by analyzing spend data and identifying opportunities for supplier consolidation or alternative sourcing.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier contracts, and bar code inventory data to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as production, quality assurance, and finance to align procurement with operational needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies, or contract terms.

The Buyer utilizes supply management and purchasing process expertise daily to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. Cost reduction skills are applied by analyzing supplier proposals and negotiating favorable terms to maximize organizational savings. Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems enables the Buyer to maintain accurate inventory records, forecast demand, and streamline purchase order workflows. Knowledge of global sourcing allows the Buyer to identify and engage with international suppliers, expanding the supply base and improving competitiveness. Additionally, familiarity with bar code systems supports inventory accuracy and traceability, which are essential for operational efficiency and compliance.
