LT Staffing Inc is seeking an experienced Buyer for our client’s manufacturing operations in Massachusetts. The Buyer will work with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and logistics to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely procurement.

The role requires market awareness, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent Excel and ERP proficiency are essential to optimize purchasing processes and supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement/purchasing experience in manufacturing or similar environments.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, plus MRP/ERP system proficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and current market trends.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders and track deliveries; resolve shortages, late or missing shipments.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements with suppliers.
• Maintain and review purchasing reports to monitor spend and performance.
• Process return-to-vendor debit memos as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and logistics to fulfill orders.

The Buyer will work closely with various departments (engineering, manufacturing, finance, and logistics) to meet the company's purchasing needs while ensuring high standards of quality and compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The Buyer will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the company's supply chain operations. This position requires a deep understanding of market trends, supplier relationships, and negotiation strategies to ensure the best value for the organization. Strong decision-making skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think strategically are essential for success in this role.

Job Description

• Issue purchase orders & track the progress of deliveries, resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries.
