Gulfstream Aerospace in Dallas is seeking a Buyer for our GAC Dallas completions group. The role focuses on procuring aerospace parts and materials, supporting interior build specifications and supplier performance within AS9100/ITAR frameworks. 2+ years of procurement exposure and basic purchasing experience are desirable.

The position collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance to maintain supplier records and ensure timely deliveries. Travel up to 25% may occur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years procurement, supply chain or related experience.

Responsabilités

• Develops sources of supply and gathers supplier information on product specs, price and delivery.
• Solicits quotes, conducts bid evaluations, negotiates delivery schedules and terms.
• Prepares purchase orders, negotiates contracts within budget, and ensures schedules are met.
• Monitors supplier performance and resolves quality, delivery, and cost issues.
• Ensures procurement activities comply with aerospace standards (AS9100, ITAR).
• Collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance.
• Maintains procurement records and supports audits and reporting.
• Assists in planning and reviewing the work of Procurement Spec.

The position will be purchasing parts and materials for our completions group. Our completions teams focus on the interior build of the aircraft and customer specifications and needs for the interior. The Dallas location is becoming a premiere hub completions for several of our newest aircrafts. Ideal candidate will have basic purchasing experience. Aviation and/or SAP/Corridor experience is nice to have.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business administration or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 2 years Procurement, supply chain or related experience. Master's Degree may offset 2 years of experience.

Position Purpose:

Under limited supervision, executes procurement activities for aerospace parts, materials, and services. Ensures compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while supporting operational efficiency and supplier performance.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Develops sources of supply and obtains information from suppliers concerning product and/or service specifications, price, delivery dates, etc. and ensures all applicable data is current at supplier .
2. Solicits quotes, conducts bid evaluations, evaluates costs, negotiates optimum delivery schedules and ensures the best combination of price, quantity discount, product quality, standard terms and conditions, and where appropriate, supports the establishment of long-term agreements such as Master Orders and Blanket Purchase Agreements .
3. Prepares definitive purchase orders, including terms and conditions, makes award, administers contracts with suppliers within budgetary limitations, and ensures schedules are met .
4. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and cost .
5. Ensure procurement activities comply with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace standards .
6. Collaborate with internal departments including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance .
7. Maintain accurate procurement records and support audits and reporting requirements .
8. Assists in planning and reviewing the work of Procurement Spec, where appropriate.
