Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to support purchasing, inventory planning, supplier coordination and production requirements. You will ensure materials are available at the right time across purchasing, operations, production and suppliers.

The role requires 2 years of experience in purchasing or planning and a High School education. You will work in a standard 8 AM to 4 PM shift with opportunities to collaborate across teams and optimize supplier performance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in purchasing/planning roles.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong forecasting and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and purchase materials, components, and supplies based on production requirements and inventory needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock levels to support production and customer demand.
• Issue and manage purchase orders while tracking deliveries and resolving shortages or delays.
• Work closely with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, order confirmations, and delivery updates.
• Review MRP/planning data and make purchasing decisions based on demand, lead times, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to address material requirements and shortages.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records within the company’s ERP system.
• Help identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve supplier performance, and optimize inventory.
• Communicate proactively with internal teams regarding material availability and potential supply issues.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Buyer/Planner to support purchasing, inventory planning, supplier coordination, and production requirements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across purchasing, operations, production, and suppliers to ensure the right materials are available at the right time.

salary: $62,000 - $77,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: High School
