Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Buyer to support the Smart Infrastructure site in Broken Arrow, OK. You will execute purchase orders in SAP, coordinate with suppliers, and manage deliveries to protect production schedules.

Qualified candidates have at least a bachelor’s degree and 1+ year in purchasing or materials coordination, with strong Excel skills and a focus on resolving discrepancies and mitigating supply risks. This is an on-site role at the Broken Arrow facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of direct purchasing, buying, or materials coordination experience.
• Experience placing and managing purchase orders and following up with suppliers.
• Experience using SAP or other purchasing/ERP/MRP systems.
• Proficiency with Excel for purchasing analysis and reporting.

• Follow up with suppliers on confirmations, delivery commitments, and backorders.
• Process MRP recommendations and purchasing requirements per procedures.
• Communicate shortages and supplier updates to production and planning teams.
• Resolve PO, receiving, and invoice discrepancies to improve accuracy.
• Analyze material/supplier information to support production continuity.

We are looking for a Buyer. This position will be based in Broken Arrow, OK.

You’ll make a difference by:

• Executing purchase orders in SAP or other purchasing systems to maintain material availability for production.
• Following up with suppliers on confirmations, delivery commitments, backorders, and past-due orders, and expediting pull-ins, push-outs, cancellations, and revised delivery dates to protect manufacturing schedules.
• Processing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) recommendations and purchasing requirements in alignment with established procedures and guidance from the Senior Buyer.
• Communicating material shortages, supplier updates, and recovery actions to production, planning, receiving, purchasing, and supplier teams.
• Resolving purchase order, receiving, and invoice discrepancies to improve transaction accuracy and supplier payment flow.
• Analyzing material and supplier information, identifying potential risks, and taking proactive action to support production continuity and customer delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year of direct purchasing, buying, or materials coordination experience, including placing and managing purchase orders.
• Experience following up with suppliers, tracking delivery commitments, expediting orders, or resolving purchase order issues.
• Experience using a purchasing, inventory, enterprise resource planning, or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, for purchasing analysis, reporting, and data management.
• Ability to analyze material information, identify supply risks, and communicate effective recovery actions.
• Demonstrated initiative, urgency, adaptability, and problem-solving ability in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Ability and willingness to work on-site at the Siemens Smart Infrastructure manufacturing facility in Broken Arrow, OK.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
