Job summary

Novae is seeking a Purchasing professional to support manufacturing operations in Avon, MN. The role involves acquiring required materials and services, managing supplier relationships, verifying requisitions, and driving cost containment through data analysis and inventory controls.

You will coordinate with operations, prepare purchase orders, and analyze trends for the Regional Purchasing Manager while leveraging ERP systems and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• Experience in purchasing within manufacturing; RV or trailer manufacturing preferred.
• Proficient with ERP systems; MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Purchase required materials and services to support manufacturing output and projects.
• Manage commercial relationships with suppliers and evaluate prices, suitability, and availability.
• Verify purchase requisitions against master lists; recommend alternatives.
• Drive continuous improvement to control costs through inventory systems and cycle counts.
• Provide planning and controls data and trends to the Regional Purchasing Manager.
• Prepare and verify purchase orders, confirm deliveries, and resolve shipment issues.
• Assist in other duties as needed.

Job Summary

Purchase required materials and services to support and maintain consistent output within Manufacturing and for projects. Manage commercial relationships with material suppliers and service providers.

• Review requests; communicate with suppliers and operations managers; examine prices, suitability, and availability of items or services; compare specifications and review alternatives.
• Verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarify unclear items; recommend alternatives.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to create inventory systems to control costs.
• Provide purchasing planning and controls information by collecting, analyzing, and reporting data and trends to Regional Purchasing Manager.
• Manage inventory accuracy using a cycle count program.
• Forward available inventory items by verifying stock and scheduling deliveries.
• Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtain recommendations from suppliers for substitute items. Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipment errors with suppliers. Authorize payment for purchases by forwarding received documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related technical field, or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience.
• Must have experience in purchasing within manufacturing, RV or trailer manufacturing preferred.
• Proficient in utilization and understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Visual experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and related software.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly motivated self-starter with analytical thinking skills.
