Job summary

Adecco is assisting in the recruitment of a Buyer in Añasco, Puerto Rico. This temporary role will source spot-buy purchases and replenish inventory in a production storeroom on-site.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and purchasing experience, with strong analytical and communication skills. Work hours are Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, with overtime as needed; compensation is $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in sourcing/purchasing and knowledge of purchasing practices.
• Ability to prepare and analyze technical specifications and bids.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and respond to customer needs.
• Identify and select vendors based on price, quantity, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Place and manage purchase orders for requested commodities.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and initiatives; resolve purchasing issues with vendors.
• Work in a storeroom/warehouse environment and comply with OSHA and PPE requirements.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in a storeroom/warehouse environment, which may include confined spaces, high-voltage equipment, hazardous materials, and work at heights above 25 feet.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to10 lbs.and occasionally up to25 lbs.
• May be required to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, and handle materials as needed.
• Must meet company and OSHA requirements for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
