Job summary

Food & Paper Supply in Alsip, IL is seeking a dedicated Buyer to coordinate procurement for resale. This in-person role requires the ability to work under pressure, be independent and a team player, and maintain strong supplier relationships.

You will research buying trends, manage inventory, and negotiate contracts with wholesalers while handling purchase orders and cost analyses. The position offers stable hours, on-site work, and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Two years of retail buying experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to compile information and make decisions.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
