Job summary

FORCE America, Inc. in Alexandria, MN is hiring a Regular Full-Time Buyer to procure raw goods or components, manage forecasts, and evaluate vendors. This in-person, onsite role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and operations.

You will issue purchase orders, track deliveries, maintain item master data for MRP, and participate in cost-reduction initiatives. The position offers competitive wages and benefits in a 100% employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain or related field.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and solve problems.
• Solid understanding of S&OP processes.
• Excellent listening and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze current product demands for Operations.
• Issue purchase and transfer orders to meet customer needs, expediting as needed.
• Confer with vendors on pricing, availability and delivery schedules.
• Create and maintain item master records for MRP processing.
• Support cost reduction initiatives with vendors.
• Maintain vendor relationships and track vendor metrics.
• Analyze surplus inventory and identify reduction opportunities.
• Participate in cross functional teams with Engineering, Accounting, Sales, Operations and Marketing.
• Other responsibilities, as assigned.

Salary Range: $57,000.00 To $62,000.00 Annually

Overview : The Buyer is responsible for the procurement of either raw goods or components for Operations through qualified vendors. Participates in forecasting efforts, manage and measure performance of current vendors, assist in new vendor qualifications, and facilitate new product introductions into Operations. Minimum Qualifications

• Strong analytical ability.
• Strong organizational skills, timely, and the ability to prioritize.
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.
• Good understanding of the S&OP process.
