Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually
The Buyer position is responsible for all aspects of sourcing and buying and will represent the company in the procurement of goods and services required to assure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction. The primary objective is to identify and obtain products and services obtained externally. To accomplish this, the Buyer will evaluate, and determine the best supplier, value, and delivery for those products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete all aspects of quoting and maintaining ERP part settings to ensure a fast and accurate buying process.
Ensure that all purchased product conforms to specified requirements including part formats and tolerances. Work with Engineering and Customer when appropriate to identify possible subs or change notices.
Negotiate pricing with suppliers to obtain the best quality, delivery, and lowest cost of ownership. Communicate and attempt to offset unfavorable purchase price variances and deliveries while continually working towards obtaining cost savings and improving the quote/purchasing process.
Placement and Confirmation of purchase orders within 5 days of job entry for buy direct orders.
Maintain on time deliveries by taking action against material demand requirements for new/rescheduled jobs, change notices, and past due orders on a daily basis with the intent of supporting a manufacturing schedule.
Process Supplier related returns with the intent of recovering expenses whenever possible.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: (Education, Training, Skills, and Experience)
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 2-5 years of buying experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and interpret priorities while maintaining a high level of organization.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
intermediate to Advanced computer skills
Working knowledge of Epicor ERP software preferred
