Job summary

Coolabah Capital Investments, a leading fixed-income investor, seeks an Investment Analyst (Investment Grade Credit Research) in Miami, USA. The role reports to the Head of Credit Research and requires full-time in-office presence five days a week.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in credit asset management or related fields, with strong financial modelling, accounting knowledge, and a desire to contribute to portfolio performance. CFA/CA desirable; US working rights required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ analyst experience within credit asset management, investment banking, management consulting, fund management, insurance asset management, and/or family office investment management.
• Excellent time-management skills and strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Advanced financial modelling skills and solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Interest in governance, transparency, and sustainability in companies and markets; CFA/CA desirable.
• Full working rights in the US; visas will not be sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the investment process including deep-dive financial analysis and reviews of industry dynamics and disclosures.
• Provide independent views on creditworthiness of issuers and instruments to portfolio managers.
• Produce thorough research reports and financial models with investment recommendations.
• Engage in meetings with management of listed and unlisted companies.
• Monitor ESG developments and support governance-related processes.
• Contribute to firm growth and brand.
