Job summary

Quanex IG Systems in Cambridge, OH is seeking an Operator I Utility Butyl for the 2nd shift (2pm-10pm). The role requires following batch instructions, labeling materials, documenting batch records, and operating/maintaining equipment with attention to safety. Overtime including weekends is common.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School or GED preferred.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends.
• Close visual work required; ability to read information in a variety of formats.
• Knowledge of general computer skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow batch card and JQTL instructions as written.
• Properly collect, package, and clearly label raw materials, production components, and other samples.
• Properly document batch records.
• Label secondary containers and finished goods accurately.
• Input/Scan raw materials for batching.
• Always use proper PPE.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate equipment so test data is accurate and reliable.
• Perform changeovers and end-of-run cleanouts.
• Cross train on multiple mixers in the butyl work cell.
• Communicate with co-workers, leads, and manager in a timely manner.
• Maintain 6S Standards in the work area and participate in training events.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and formulation issues.
• Follow safety rules and obtain forklift/aerial certification.
