Thanksgiving Point in Utah is seeking a part-time Butterfly Biosphere Explorer to greet guests, guide learning, operate the front desk and gift shop, and help maintain a welcoming butterfly habitat.

You will engage visitors of all ages, support hands-on activities, ensure safety, and contribute to a positive, curiosity-filled experience. The role is 15 hours per week, with some holidays, wage $11.50–$12 per hour DOE, and benefits including membership and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Strong communication and great customer service.
• Enthusiastic and can-do approach.
• Comfortable working with and around flying insects, spiders, roaches, beetles, etc.
• Ability to work in high-activity, high-energy, noisy environments.
• Readily learn cash register, money handling, and facilitation best practices.
• Comfort with initiating conversations and exploring with guests and enforcing safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Engage visitors of all ages to ignite learning and curiosity.
• Provide exceptional guest service and assist guests confidently.
• Run cashier at the front desk and gift shop.
• Facilitate inquiry-based learning experiences with curiosity.
• Collaborate with coworkers to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Assist guests as they explore butterflies and insects and enjoy hands-on exhibits.
