Job summary

Darigold is seeking a Butter Operator to ensure butter filling machines produce high-quality product within specifications. You will follow Food Safety and Quality requirements per Darigold policies and SOPs, and report concerns to supervisors or plant leadership.

The role involves long shifts, routine maintenance checks, and adherence to safety guidelines while operating mechanical or computer-controlled equipment. Training and SOPs ensure consistent, safe production.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand/walk for 12 hours on concrete or tile floors that may be wet with milk, water or butter.
• Must be able to climb stairs and catwalks including expanded metal.
• Must wear PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, rubber- safety-toed boots.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds frequently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to read and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Operate butter filling machine safely and efficiently.
• Inspect and monitor butter filling process for proper equipment operation.
• Maintain and monitor inventory needed to meet production goals.
• Clean and sanitize butter filler machines, tanks, and related equipment.
• Assist maintenance with routine repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Collect production data and complete required reports accurately.
• Run butterfat and moisture samples and perform metal detection checks regularly.
