Job summary

Select Milk Producers in Littlefield, TX is seeking a diligent Churn Operator to control and operate equipment for butter production using the continuous churn method.

You will maintain sanitation, monitor quality, weigh ingredients, collect samples, and keep records, while training coworkers and supporting safety and GMP rules. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and a willingness to lead by example in a fast-paced dairy environment.

Qualifications

• Operate churn equipment safely and efficiently following GMP.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate as needed.
• Lead by example and coordinate break/lunch in butter area.
• Train and cross-train fillers and floaters.
• Maintain sanitation and USDA readiness at all times.

Responsibilities

• Churn operators mix and blend butter to meet standards.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of the butter room.
• Weigh and measure materials, collect samples for lab testing.
• Keep accurate and legible records and monitor equipment.
• Inspect and analyze butter samples and adjust processes as needed.
• Support training of new personnel and safety practices.
