Job description

Here at Nemacolin, our associates know to “Expect the Unexpected” – You have come across the career opportunity where entertainment and excitement are the job description. This position must be committed to making every experience memorable all while having fun and relishing the incredible atmosphere of the resort.

Provide top of the line service to every guest. Compile and distribute relevant data regarding repeat guests by accessing information held in our POS systems, PMS notes, Seven Rooms, and Comment Cards. Accommodate guest needs and requests. Provide thorough information about all services, facilities, recreation, history, shopping, and local attractions. Make reservations for all dining (on and off site), recreation, and entertainment. Make transportation arrangements (plane, limo). Provide business services. Receive and dispatch telephone requests. Dispatch Butlers to perform their duties. Take requests and actively sell amenities. Pre-call all guests 24 hours prior to arrival. Maintain 5-star/5-diamond standards across services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Train team and enforce quality standards every day.
  • Greet all passing guests.
  • Learn and use guest names.
  • Answer Butler telephone and dispatch guest requests.
  • Provide verbal and written information on all services and facilities to each guest upon request.
  • Make dining suggestions and reservations (on and off site).
  • Assist with recreation reservations (golf, spa, tennis, equestrian, etc).
  • Provide information on shopping services.
  • Make travel arrangements for guests (including ground and air transportation).
  • Provide business services for guests (fax, copies, typing, etc).
  • Arrange for babysitting services.
  • Fulfill VIP and special requests for products and services.
  • Pre-call all guests prior to arrival.
  • Complete knowledge of Host, Spa Soft, Medallia, Seven Rooms, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Amenity ordering and confirming delivery from the proper department.
  • Providing follow-up communication to inquire about guest stay.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a high school graduate and at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of local and historical attractions.
  • Possess excellent communication and public speaking skills along with confidence in speaking. Must be outgoing, polite, courteous, and service-oriented.
  • Demonstrate understanding or willingness to understand luxury facilities and services (food, wine, etc).
  • Enjoy problem solving and be able to handle and stay calm in stressful situations.
  • Must be organized and have computer and typing knowledge.
  • Customer-service oriented.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to speak English.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
