Responsibilities

As a Meat Cutter at Joe V’s, you will help provide the freshest quality products for our customers through a well-stocked and maintained department, while delivering excellent customer service. Your duties include cutting, preparing, tray, and merchandising fresh products daily, under supervision. We are seeking candidates who are at least 18 years old, attentive to customer needs, and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Production

• Cut, trim, tray, and merchandise meat according to standards, in partnership with a Meat Cutter I
• Operate equipment such as grinders, saws, tenderizers, slicers, and knife sharpeners
• Weigh, wrap, and label product packages for sale
• Rotate products in coolers and sales floors, ensuring proper storage practices
• Maintain quality and freshness standards through effective communication
• Practice safety awareness and perform duties safely

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting with product selection and answering questions

Food Safety / Sanitation

• Clean and sanitize display cases and equipment
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and regulatory procedures

Candidate Background

• Minimum age of 18
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and customer service
• Completion of required training and compliance standards

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Must be able to stand, reach, grasp, and perform tasks in cold and wet conditions, with the ability to lift up to 90 lbs safely. Must demonstrate awareness of safety practices and be able to work flexible schedules.
