Position: Meat Cutter

As a Meat Cutter, you'll help provide the freshest quality products for customers through a well-stocked and maintained department while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include cutting, preparing, tray, and merchandising fresh products daily under supervision.

Qualifications:

• Minimum age 18
• Willingness to attentively serve customers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Responsibilities:

Production

• Cut, trim, tray, and scrape meat for display according to standards
• Fill product cases with chicken, chubs, seasoned meats
• Operate grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicer
• Weigh, wrap, and label products for sale
• Rotate stock and ensure proper storage
• Maintain quality and freshness standards
• Practice safety at all times
• Assist in technical areas as needed

Customer Service

• Provide excellent service by cutting and labeling meat products
• Assist customers with product questions and selections

Food Safety / Sanitation

• Clean and sanitize display cases and equipment
• Follow safety, sanitation, and regulatory procedures

Candidate Background

• Experience in fast-paced environments and customer service
• Completion of required training

Additional Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of JVSS Meat Cutter training and SOPs
• Understanding of product rotation and sanitation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and flexible scheduling

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to stand, reach, grasp constantly
• Exposure to cold, wet conditions, loud noise, fumes
• Operate machinery safely
• Lift up to 90 lbs safely
