Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse in Miami, FL is seeking a dedicated butcher to prepare specialty meat cuts with accuracy and efficiency for our premium restaurant clients. You will select products, cut to specifications, weigh and package properly, and maintain product integrity while following HACCP, OSHA and GMP guidelines to ensure top quality and safety across all steps of the process.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of previous work experience.
• Experience in a food processing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select products from pick tickets and stage for production
• Cut product to meet customer specifications
• Transport finished product to packaging line
• Weigh product to ensure compliance with customer/specifications
• Replenish stock as needed
• Maintain work area clean and orderly
• Must report damaged product to management immediately
• Must follow all company policies and HACCP/OSHA/GMP guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Position Summary

As a key member of our rapidly growing organization, the Butcher contributes to our success by preparing specialty cuts of meat in a timely and efficient manner to meet our customer’s expectations.

What you’ll do

• Select products from pick tickets and stage for production
• Cut product to meet customer specifications
• Transport finished product to appropriate packaging line utilizing carts
• Weigh product to ensure compliance with customer/company specifications
• Replenish stock as needed
• Maintain work area clean and orderly
• Must maintain product integrity with proper handling & report damage to management immediately
• Must follow all company policies and procedures
• Follow all federal, state and local HACCP, OSHA & GMP guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

About you

• High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred.
• 1+ years of previous work experience.
• Experience in a food processing environment preferred.
